In this class, we will learn basic Algebraic concepts and have fun learning coding to plot charts on linear graphs. Students enrolled in this class will learn Linear equations, inequalities, systems of equations, slope, functions, and different types of linear equations. Additionally, they will learn how to use a special beginner programming language called Karel to graph different types of equations on a grid using simple single-word commands. We will be using a web-based teaching resource called CodeHS.com over Zoom meetings to complete this course together. Students should have a notebook or paper and pen to practice and solve equations in the class. No downloadable programs are required to complete this course.
